Dr. Graziella Thake CEO & Founder, The Optimisation Hub
Her extensive career encompasses significant contributions in government corrections, policing, sport, and community development, making her a well-rounded expert in creating sustainable change. Dr. Thake’s work has consistently aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing gender equality, mental health, and community empowerment. Her leadership has earned her global recognition and accolades, highlighting her role as a catalyst for impactful programs.
Dr. Thake holds an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership, Corporate Governance, Diplomacy, and Human Development, and her scholarly work has significantly influenced both policy and practice in the fields she passionately serves. The Real Picture
In an online survey of elite Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) athletes, 46.4% were experiencing symptoms of at least one of the mental health problems assessed. Comparatively, 46.6 million athletes in the USA face the reality of managing a mental illness every day.
These conditions not only act as catalysts for a downward spiral of demoralisation, but also come with a social and fiscal cost with many athletes directed to government benefit schemes.
